We do not always have homework. So, this is an excellent opportunity to practice your skills at home.
This week we are continuing our focus on the elements of fiction. Throughout the year we have discussed and investigated the elements of setting and characters and how they develop a story. Now, we are digging into the mood of a story. What does the author do to keep you reading the book? What is the author doing in their writing to create the mood?
We practiced by reading a chapter from three excellent books; Hatchet, Any Which Wall, and Out of My Mind.
What are you reading at home? What is the mood throughout your story? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
